Association History

From 2 years effort of professors’ faculty of Metal Engineering from Suranaree University of Technology, they have been gathered and organized meetings for those interested in heat treatment to establish “Thai Heat Treating association”. As a result, the association has been established on 25^th December 2017.

I am the first president of Thai Heat Treating Association and would like to ask for your supports by becoming one of our team as corporate or individual membership to enable the association to carry out activities according to our objectives. Therefore, all of us who work in heat treatment will have a stable and sustainable position in Thai Industry.

Objectives of the Association

1. Promote activities to educate and develop professional personnel in metal heat treatment industry and surface engineering.
2. Gather all Information and news which benefit to both Industrial and Educational sectors in metal heat treatment and surface engineering.
3. To be a consultant and give advice on engineering and technology, including various standards that related to metal heat treatment industry and surface engineering.
4. To be a consultant and advisor on energy and environment that related to metal heat treatment industry and surface engineering.
5. Promote and carry out research and development projects that related to metal heat treatment industry and surface engineering.
6. To be a representative of metal heat treatment industry and surface engineering. Contact and conduct activities that are mutually benefit with the relevant parties in public and/or private sectors in Thailand.
7. To be a representative of metal heat treatment industry and surface engineering. Contact and conduct activities that are mutually benefit with the relevant parties in International level.
8. The Association is not involved with Political in anyway.

In addition to above objectives, the integration of heat treatment personnel from both Industrial and Academic sectors will lead to opportunities for research and development which will enlarge knowledge and skills of personnel in the heat treatment field in Thailand. This also leads to opportunities to exchange knowledge and experiences. As well as being a source for finding jobs and receiving internship students in this field. Another important activity of the association is the proficiency test. To certify knowledge of heat treatment which will help to enhance the level of professional skills of the person working in heat treatment.
